As an Advisor for the Women in Leadership Program at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, Felicia brings over seven (7) years of legal practice and a deep commitment to supporting and empowering women to excel in leadership roles. As a first-generation college graduate with a background in corporate governance and legal strategy, she brings a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities women face in today’s competitive professional environments.
Felicia began her legal career at a private law firm in Texas, specializing in representing public school districts across the state in construction contracts, bond work, grievances, and civil rights defense. After practicing law for just four (4) years, she made partner at the firm—a testament to her exceptional legal skills and business acumen. Following this achievement, Felicia utilized her experience in construction contracts and transitioned into a role as General Counsel for a specialty subcontractor headquartered in Denver, where she continues to expand her expertise in corporate law, risk management, and strategic decision-making. Her diverse professional journey equips her with valuable insights into career transitions, leadership development, and the importance of mentoring women to achieve their fullest potential. Felicia is passionate about helping women break barriers, navigate complex professional landscapes, and develop the confidence to thrive in leadership positions.
