Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Long Beach Transit

Lilia Montoya is a seasoned transportation executive with 19 years of experience in the private and public sectors with a track record of success in driving innovation, sustainability, and efficiencies within multimodal transportation industries. Major projects that she has led include the transitioning to electric and sustainable fleets, promoting community and industry focus in transforming the social, environmental, and economic well-being of diverse communities while improving safety and service quality.

Ms. Montoya is currently serving as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Long Beach Transit. She has held additional transportation leadership roles with Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Los Angeles Unified School District, Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet) and Union Pacific Railroad. Ms. Montoya graduated from Pepperdine University with a BS in Business Management and has a Master’s in Organizational Management.
